Sunday November 23rd 2014 Rain STOPPED play for most of the club apart from 4 members (NUTTERS) of which 2 went on to play 18 holes and create a new world record for water golf.
Sunday November 16th 2014 Congratulations to young Jack who scored 35pts to win the Langford Trophy today, with double points up for grabs on 2 out of the 9 holes and he took full advantage of this, by getting a birdie on one of the par 3's (one of his double points hole) to score 10pts in a single hole Which was the difference between 1st & 2nd place today which was Andy. Andy played some great golf with pars on the 1st & 2nd and taking 8pts on the 4th with his double pts by having a solid tee shot ending up just off the fairway in the light rough to the right of the right hand fairway bunker, with a good second shot on line he landed on the green short of the hole leaving himself 10ft to the hole which he sank for birdie scoring 8pts and then on the 5th hit a great 9 iron bang on line and landing short by 6ft giving himself a second good chance for birdie, unfortunately the putt slid just past the hole leaving him a tap in for par and another 6pts . And then on the 6th he hit his worst shot of round with a tee shot that had some funky spin going on, top spin, side spin you name it had it, ending up on the left just in bounds, then a great second shot along the line off the outer bounds landed it on the fairway leaving 141yds into the pin, with a smoothly struck 9 iron it was all over the flag landing just short and rolling up to a foot past the hole leaving an easy tap in for his second birdie fantastic 3 holes mate well played. Thanks Bernie for the reports again.
Sunday November 9th 2014 This week was the Norman Plate Strokeplay round down. Well looks like the weather kept a few of the club members away but as it turned out the morning was kind to those that did make it. As this was stroke play there were more than a few provisional tee shots played along with the good old catch phase if only you could buy provisional balls. It was a good day golf wise looking at the scores that came in with more than a couple hitting their handicap or better. Was good to hear the course come to a reflective silence at 11 to remember those lost in WW1. We also had a fly over by 4 Spitfires with that engine sound that we all know. And the winner of the Norman Plate was Mikki with a net score of 34.5....well done Mikki better than your handicap. And thanks to the other guys who made it as well.

November 2nd 2014
After such a glorious end to October the weather changed and so did the turnout with the autumn arriving with strong winds and heavy rain by the end of the round.
But still the winning team came in level par for shots before applying the handicap with solid golf from Mark Phil A and Russ including 2 birdies and 2 bogies to balance it out.
Well done to the other guys who made it as well.
The Harling Cup Texas Scramble Teams of 3 1st Mark, Phil(A) & Russ 33 shots 2nd Peter, Meng & Yan 33.5 shots 2rd Mikki, John(H) & Bernie 35.2 shots 4th Alex, Victor & Fred 36.1 shots
